African daisies or Osteospermum is a genus belonging to the Calenduleae, one of the smaller tribes of the sunflower family (Asteraceae).
They are not native to Australia, but spreading themselves rapidly in the landscape, due to the fact people dispose them once they have become to big in the garden.
I like them because they give nearly the whole year some colour to the garden.
