4 Unwanted

Melbourne, Australia

The young women didn't really like that i took the picture
I was putting my memory card back in the camera when they knocked on the door,
to bring me some religious message.
I'm non-religious.
For the girls and me it was not a wanted situation.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS

Gelukkig bleven ze er wel vrolijk onder.

Good capture of this awkward situation. I see many of us understand how uncomfortable and intrusive this can be.

I had a friend who told the story of her mother sweeping in the garage. The same thing happened to her. They entered the garage with literature in hand. She kept sweeping... they kept backing up as she swept. As they passed to the other side of the garage door, she slammed the garage door shut. End of story. Hadn't thought about that in a long time.

Great capture. And I agree that people who knock on your door uninvited and unknown should not expect a warm welcome. I give them credit though for their beliefs.

Ah! Give them a glass of water and politely send them on their way.

I agree with Scott! A nice capture Mieke!!

We're fortunate, we live in a condo community where soliciting
is not allowed, so we never see them! However, good capture of the situation!

Seems like they could at least appreciate your request for a photo when they are randomly knocking on your door. Fair trade off...

That's a good method of getting rid of them... Next time I'll try out too...

But you made a shot and that´s an instinct of a good photographer! Surprising moment for all of you! V.

A very good capture, the tension comes through strongly in this image even though they are smiling and trying to be at ease.

We luckily rarely get these visiting us...we used to have a blue heeler and she was a deterrent and could be seen from our front gate even though she at the end of her life
could barely walk let alone chase intruders!

Well, they probably won't be around again. My grandpa invited them in and then told them what he thought...needless to say, a lot never returned. Like the pic though!
