Miriam is born in Iraqi Kurdistan. She fled with her husband and children when the war in 2003 started.
She had a traumatic journey to be recognised as a refuge and to get a residence permit.
I choose the fig-fruit which is ripening at the moment at the tree in my garden and which is for me an oriental fruit.
