22 Rosemary

Melbourne, Australia

I discovered this musical rosemary in a garden centre.
I don’t understand the relation with Mozart. Alas!

Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle.
It is native to the Mediterranean.
The name rosemary derives from the Latin name rosmarinus,
which is from "dew" (ros) and "sea" (marinus), or "dew of the sea".
Rosemary is extremely high in iron, calcium, and Vitamin B6.

Such beautiful little pots all in bloom. I wonder how they get them to bloom so much being so small.

Nice find, a herb which always reminds me of holidays in Italy where it grows profusely.

Always a soil compliment around a vineyard!

Love that flavor, reminds me of the spruce needles I chew on when in the woods.

Mozart was a genius... so why not, he would have written a symphony about a rosemary garden :)

Never have seen Mozart rosemary, either. We have a big rosemary bush in our yard. I use it for pork roast! This is a nice shot!

How convenient for it to grow already in the bags.
Great find.

Great find. Perhaps the owners of this company are classical music lovers. We have a large rosemary bush in our garden. I especially like it for marinades.

Rosemary... a wonderful herb that I use often in the kitchen. Fortunately, it grows well here in Texas!

Well, I did parsley. Will somebody do sage and thyme?

Quite easy to grow from a cutting too... interesting name for a herb!
