This is Monkey Island, a remote, uninhabited island on the coast of South Carolina. The island is populated by approximately 3,500 Rhesus Monkeys. The monkeys were put on the island in 1979, and every year, 500 are taken to be used as test animals in labs. The monkeys are protected animals, and the existence of the island is considered an urban legend by many people who have lived in the area for all their lives and have never seen any of the monkeys.While news reports have refused to disclose the exact location of the island, a little research shows that Morgan Island, SC is the most likely location.
