This lifesize bronze Hellenistic sculpture was found in the sea off Cape Artemision in 1929,
and dates from the 2nd centr;uy BC. Like the bronze Poseiden, the inlaid eyes of the jockey are missing.
The horse and jockey are the work of an unknown sculptor of the Hellenistic period.
