These two gold cups were found in a tomb in Vaphio, the ancient capital of the Mycenaeans. The two cups are a pair, and are masterpieces of Minoan art.
One depicts a wild bull hunt in repousse, with the scene unfolding all around the cup, while the other shows a scene with tame bulls.
The cups date from 1500-1450 BC.
