Crete - Minoan Snake Goddess .jpg

This small "Snake Goddess" in he Heraklion Museum is a faience figurine discovered in the crypts of the central shrine of the Palace of Knossos is dated around 1600 BC.
She represents a priestess of a snake worshipping culture.
