I was wondering if you still had your Billingham L2 bag, and if so, I was wondering if you could upload a picture of the tag on the left hand side of the bag, As I am intrigued to see if it says "Billingham" or "Billingham England"
Cheers

Hello Carolyn! I enjoyed the article about you in the NKCF Newsletter. I have had almost identical experiences with KC although I am not the traveler you are. My "story" was in the newsletter last year. My biggest claim to fame is being able to remove and replace a lens in a dark movie theater! Amazing what we can do when pressed! Joanne Ciesluk

Hey,
I'm from Kenya and I also have keratoconus too and it started when I was 12 years old. I am currently out of school because I need surgery and I discovered an incredible doctor called Dr.Boxer from Beverly Hills who can treat keratoconus with non invasive surgery and give you 20/10 vision. Reading your story I was wondering how I could travel to LA and have the surgery done.My parents can't afford $30,000 for this surgery but I think you can save your eyesight check his website www.boxerwachler.com/dr-brian

I "liked" your photo of the Ranghiasci Palace in Gubbio. My husband and I are directors of Arts Sojourn www.artssojourn.com A small group, director led, travel company for art makers and lovers of art. We have taken our group to Gubbio for several years now and have viewed the "Ceri dei Piccoli" from Rick and Alessandra's balconies. My husband and i do pleinair painting and have had painters, photagraphers, writers, collage artists and jewlery makers attend our sojourns. We always try and use our own photos for copyright and bugetary reasons and are very sensitive to the rights of visual art, especially on the web. Do you charge for posting of your photo images on face book pages etc. I am trying to attract more attention to our trip to Gubbio this year. You can visit my face book profile and see our photos on our website and our Arts Sojourn page on face book. We never seem to have enough of the right photos to use since we are so busy painting and seeing to our group. Thanks in advance for your considerate response.

Dear Carolyn Hammett,

I writing to request permission for the use of your photograph: KATHOLIKON VIRGIN ENTHRONED MOSAIC (HOSIOS LOUKAS, GREECE.
I am doing a Ph.D in UK and would like to include your photo in my thesis if possible. I would, of course, give you full credit for the photograph and would be happy to make a payment for use if necessary.

I was searching for reviews of the smaller Billingham bags since I have two large ones and need something much lighter... and noticed you have quite a collection! I was interested in the L2 and the Hadley Pro... and your pictures told me what I need to know - they look like lady's bags!! And by the way, your galleries are impressive!
Thanks, Peter

You posted a thread about having problems getting your Epson R1800 to work on Leopard. You finally got it to work in the end. I am having the SAME problem and it is driving me mad. How did you get it to work?

Carolyn,
I really enjoyed looking at your travel pictures, it reminds me of our travel to Italy last May 2006. I used my minolta Z3 and I'm having a hard time to take pictures indoor. Now I'm ready to go back again to other parts of Italy, w/ my Canon 30D. I'm really amazed by the opening and the balance you made indoors. Thanks a lot for you sharing your pictures. Maybe you can share with me some of your techniques.

Carolyn,

I really enjoyed looking at your travel pictures, especially the ones from Italy. Your pictures are probably what inspired me and my family to Italy.

We just came back from our trip to Italy. We were in Venice, Assisi, Verona, Florence, San Gimignano and Rome. We would definitely like to go back but hopefully without the heightened security at Heathrow.

http://www.pbase.com/nelsonc/italy

I only took the 5D with the 24-105 lens. We lost 3 of 4 bags during our trip but luckily the bag with my camera in it made it. We were not allow to carry on anything but the keys, passports, little wallets and travel documents. Before boarding our flight at London Heathrow to Milan, they got rid off brand new my money belt because it was a "security" risk. I spent my entire trip without it.

wished i could have visited half the countries you have experienced; well at least this is reasonable compromise...viewing the culture and experience through your eyes. :)
