Our 2006 trip to Italy was wonderful despite of the trouble of getting to Rome from London Heathrow due to the elevated security measures. We lost the first day of tour in Rome.

We spent five lovely days in Italy and the trip was way too short! We certainly want to go back and might even combine a future trip with a cruise around that beautiful region. The slight downside was that we lost 3 out of 4 bags on our way to Rome and never again saw them during the entire trip. Two have been returned to our house within a week or two after we got home. But the third lost bag took over a month to return and all the electronics goodies were gone. It was extremely fortunate that my camera made it so we could enjoy the pictures from it.

I took over 1800 photos, all in the lossless Canon RAW format. The photos were processed with Capture One Professional from Phase One and little touch up in PhotoShop to clone out the sensor dust spots. Some of the photos were processed to have the Velvia look. I hope you enjoy those photos as much as I do.
