The Mexican restaurant, El Milagro, has hands-down the best tacos I have ever eaten in my life. Their skirt steak tacos or the carne guisado tacos are second to none. The nachos with chihuahua cheese and green salsa, chile rellenos, or various types of tamales are the perfect side-dish while enjoying a meal at El Milagro.
It is an unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, IL near the intersection of 19th and Blue Island. It is attached to a nacho chip and tortilla factory next door. It closes relatively early during the week (7pm), so when I get the itch for El Milagro, I have to rush home from work to get my "fix".
I talk this restuarant up so much, that I get nervous when bringing others there, because expectations are typically high. But if you appreciate the non-trendy simple pleasures of life, this is a place you really ought to try...
