The Howard Hughes HK-1 Hercules AKA the “Spruce Goose”. It got it's name because it is built out of wood (birch not spruce BTW). Built in the 1940’s buy the billionaire recluse Howard Hughes. It flew only once for about a mile at around 80 feet. It is now housed at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville Oregon.
Taken on my birthday
