In the first week or so, it rained quite a bit during our travels.
This morning, we were met with lovely ground fog covering the Sepulveda
Flood Control Basin, acres and acres of unimproved land with a spillway
to control the flow of the Los Angeles River.
The sun was melting away the fog and turning the world into a mystical
and enchanted place. Everyone's spirits seemed brighter, and the
conversations were more animated.
