April 12 - 1:00 p.m.

Beacon Hill Park, Victoria

This peacock started mating with a female literally minutes after I shot this picture. It was too funny.

Beautiful rich colors. Very well saturated. DOF isolates the Peacock's head perfectly. Nice!

Thanks so much for your comments and help choosing an image. I'm going to go with the PAD shot.

I like this one, concerning photo 2 I cannot give my opinion because when I try to see it appears me the following message: "Must login as ccraft to view this image."

I like the PAD shot, although all three are stunning. The inclusion of less of the neck focuses your attention on the sharpness of the eye. Fingers crossed for you Christina!

Christina, I prefer the PAD shot. I like the out of focus swirls in the background which don't tend to draw the eye away from the main subject of the image quite so much. Also, I prefer seeing less of the neck. Very good photo!

Personally, I prefer, just, photo 2. It is close between the PaD and 2, but my preference is more to do with the amount of tail detail visible in that photo, the tail seems to wrap around the peacocks head.

In peacock-land, the peacock with the biggest....errr... tail... wins... trouble is, this makes it difficult for him to fly, and often ends up as tiger dinner. True!

Tricky one, I like no 2 cos you can see the tail colours. All very nice though.

I'm with you Christina, the main picture.
It's an awesome shot.
The very best of luck with the challenge, you deserve to do well.
