Narrow band Dumbbell Nebula taken with Astrodon 3nm Ha, NII, and OIII narrow band filters.
Exposure times are: Ha= 7 X 20 min, NII = 8 X 20 min, and OIII = 6 X 20 min taken with my
SBIG STXL 6303 camera/ FW8G/ AO-X and AT 16RCT telescope with AP 27 TVPH reducer.
This data was combined with data taken by Paul Gardner using the SBIG STL 16803 camera and 27.5" PlaneWave CDK 700 telescope with Astrodon Gen 2 LRGB,
Ha and OIII Narrow band filters at the Great Basin Observatory.
Exposure times for Paul's data was 36 X 5 min each RGB subs for star color, 36 X 10 min subs for Ha, and 24 X 10 min OIII.
The 3nm NII filter added additional structure in the core region and some streamers in the outer shell not otherwise seen.
The NII wavelength is close to the Ha and both are shown as red.
