Chinese brazier and shrine, Little India

At first I thought the charming red bin was a litter bin, but it seems to be used to hold coals.

the patterns on the bin is the shape of ancient chinese coins (rear)and gold ignots ( the top) , symbol of good luck and prosperity.

the shrine next to the bin is dedicated to the earth deity of the surrounding area.

the bin is used by the chinese to burn paper offerings to the Gods
