Thes scans have been taken from an account of the Moray Floods of 1829 and makes interesting reading (if anyone can be bothered). The sketch showing how the Bridge of Carr looked after the flood says a lot for the stonemason John Nicholson who built it in 1717 at the price of 100 Merks.
Still an amazing bridge in spite of damage I took some lovely photos last year but have only just learnt of the history having visited Findhorn testerday .

After seeing the flood stones that are quite a away from the river at Randolph's leap commemorating the flood it was good to read something about it.
