The burner adds warmth to soups, stews, and hot drinks to name a few. Although I live in an area that usually stays above freezing, I really enjoy all of the foods that I grew up with in upstate New York where the temperature regularly dips below freezing during the winter (to say nothing of the fall and the spring.)
