Now these eyes are a challenge to look at! Hopefully I've got your attention. If you own a Havana Silk show dog, then in all likelihood, you can't see your woof's eyes. If you are taking a profile shot, then of course one eye only is fine. Karsh made a point of making sure that if he was photographing a person that included both eyes, he always included the skin on the far side of the eye of his subject. I've continued to employ this technique when photographing animals too.
