Little Owl with food for chick- Athene noctua

We are lucky enough to share our field with a family of Little Owls, but I have never managed to capture them as they are too shy and too fast.

After weeks of patiently waiting I finally managed to capture one of the female, she flew straight at me and landed just above my head and actually sat watching me for a few seconds!
This was for the chick as she would have eaten it herself!
