Brimstone - Gonepterix rhamni
Found these beautiful Brimstones at Strumpshaw fen; hanging on tightly as the wind blew this thistle from side to side, also difficult to photograph!
There were over 10 butterflies flying round the thistles; a beautiful sight!
Several more below all different brimstones (I know they look the same, but there not lol)!
I couldnt decide which ones I liked best?
