9/11 Twin Towers: 10th Anniversary Tribute

May 1, 1994: Lower Manhattan Island, New York City, State of New York, USA.
Ground Zero the way it was 6 1/2 years prior to that new day of infamy of 9/11, year 2001.
That same day 2,977 people died here including 341 firefighters who responded to the emergency.

Coincidentally, exactly 17 years later on May 1, 2011 US President Barack Obama officially announced the death of
Osama Bin Laden - the head of the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda - by a United States special forces military unit.
