Here he is shown receiving the keys to the city from the mayor of Quezon City. He also received
a Lifetime Achievement Award from the 9th Cinemanila International Film Festival (CIFF).

According to the CIFF committee, the latter is for his “continued support for the proliferation of Asian films".
