The Associated Hired Man was made in 4 versions. Two air-cooled, two hopper-cooled. In each of those, one could use Spark Plug Ignition or build it as a "make n break" using an ignitor. This was a 1/3 scale engine. An attempt was made to build it to a smaller scale, but as the brochure mentions, there were problems with spark plug location, so they called the smaller version the Lil' Brother. The 1/3 scale engine rights and patterns were sold in 2005 to Mike Perfhinsky of York, PA who hopes to have them (and the 1/2 scale Olds) back into production during 2006.
The Lil' Brother line was apparently NOT sold at the auction and I'm trying to track that one down as well. This engine was made in both hopper cooled and air-cooled. I have the castings and drawings for the air-cooled model.
