Joe Clemans in the blue jacket is watching a wheel get warmed by a Mike Porter designed propane burner in Joe's new wheel melter, the NVWM (New Vertical Wheel Melter). When the wheel gets "hot short", Joe will grab the crumbly pieces and move them to the main furnace.

In the back, Alan and Jarod are shaking out a mold over a coarse screen above a wheelbarrow. The hard lumps are thrown in the mixer, the rest can often be directly reused with a spritz of water to replace the evaporated steam from the previous pour. Jarod's furnace is in the lower right.
