TRAVELING WITH LIGHT
You ask me why I’m leaving.
For no other reason
than light and air,
The depth of blue –
that long half dark of color
that wasn’t here before –
Beside it,
sun glinting off tree branches,
fastening to nothing –
Because
(for whatever reason)
this is the way the clouds flow.
