Visitors can ascend the mountain's approximately 50 foot height
either by climbing the hillside or making their way up
some of the stairs Leonard has incorporated into his work

From up there you can see the Salton Sea and the Chocolate Mountains
along with the surrounding areas of the nearby desert.

Leonard has been given thousands of gallons of donated paint
from several paint companies and some Slab City folks
and he asks for no money from visitors while cheerfully
giving out thousands of free postcards of the mountain
to his happy denizens.
