This dim comet exploded in brightness on Oct. 24 and is now easily visible with the naked eye.
With binoculars the comet appears as a big fuzzy spot next to the tiny sharp stars.
A possible explanation is that this comet has a honeycomb structure which has collapsed and exposed
new cometary ice to the sunlight for the first time.
There is a nice skymap at spaceweather.com
