The Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse

Went to Santa Cruz to see the big waves crashing into the cliffs.

This memorial lighthouse is built on the spot of the former razed lighthouse.

It was built in 1967 by the parents of a 16 year old surfer who drowned off the cliffs in 1965.
It currently houses a surfers museum and is a branch of the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History.
