Me and my friend were out on Loma Prieta Ridge early this morning to try to view the close encounter of Asteroid 2004 XP14. It is barely farther away than the moon and was to be an easy target
for backyard telescopes.

But we could not find it:-(

So on this dark night, here is a picture of the Milky Way swinging its way across the night sky.

And now I need to catch up on some sleep.
