Yellow Patch of Goldfields

We are hiking to Missippi Lake at Henry Coe State Park, the largest state park in California.
We had lunch at the lake and then walked around this lake. There were a couple of people
fishing in and around the lake.

We are spending the weekend at the "Backcountry Weekend at Coe Park". The eastern part of this
park is open to a limited number of vehicles on this one weekend. Your ticket has to
be picked by raffle.

Beautiful day with lots of wildflowers blossoming along the trails.
I had planned to stay overnight in the tent, but I while I'm 90% recovered from my nasty cold,
I overdid it on this hike and decided it would be best to go home with the dayhikers.

Have a feeling overdoing it for you means walking 15 miles instead of 10, or am I underestimating it :-) Looks like a beautiful park. Take it easy and feel better. Sandy.

sorry to hear the cold is still a factor - don't overdo it. Nice weather for the hike.
