Sleeping White Pelicans

Another shot from last evenings walk at the Sunnyvale Baylands.
Continuing with the theme of sleeping birds, here are five White Pelicans
slumbering on this tiny island.

Hmm, kind of like the 12 days of Xmas. Five sleeping pelicans. Tomorrow you'll have to have 6 flying somethings. Seriously, love the way the sunlight turns them red. Beautiful.

Oh my the light is incredible. Almost makes the pelicans take on the rusty color of the rock (which from the thumb I thought a croc)
