Rolex Boat Race in the San Francisco Bay

Went to the Big City to watch the big boats race around the bay.
That is Alcatraz Island in the background.
My boss was a crew member on one of the big boats racing this weekend.

Kinda neat to see these big boats lean over to one side and the crew sitting high up
on the other side of the boat.

Okay Bryan. First three seconds I saw this shot I could only think...vote,vote,vote. So Voting. Wonderful comp and presentation. These sailing shots are way more difficult than people can imagine. Superbly shot sir.

I grew up sailing on SF Bay. Boy, this brings back some memories! Fantastic racing shot. It's not often you see big boats doin' this in the Bay. It's usually the Lasers and Hobies. Love it!

They haven't made the turn downwind yet so I guess they're behind. I like all the colorful spinnakers too. That boat is heeled over so there must have been a good wind. Even the combined weight of the crew doesn't seem to be leveling it much.
