The moon rising over the Lick Observatories on Mt Hamilton

This was taken last night, processed tonight.

Checked out the following website, http://heavens-above.com/, to view the nights sky chart and noticed
the moon rising just North of East, which is close to the top of Mount Hamilton from
the backyard.

Fortunately, the moon was indeed rising near the top of the mountain, with the silhouette of the
two domes of Lick Observatories.

Should have used the tripod as the picture is not as sharp as I would like it to be.

Bryan, as you say, needed a tripod. However, great tones and silhouette. I must try some colour variations next time I get some moon shots.
