Candlestick Park

Got a last minute invite to see the San Francisco 49ers play the Carolina Panthers today at Candlestick park.

My first and probably last time to see a sporting event at Candlestick as the 49ers move to a brand new stadium in Santa Clara and Candlestick is due for demolition after the season.

It opened for the San Francisco Giants in 1960.

I might have jinxed the 49ers as they played a pathetic offensive game and lost 10-9.

Looks like it was a great day for a game. I was bummed to see the 49ers play so poorly. Glad to see you get a chance to see them play --- no matter how poorly before they leave this historic venue.
