Dr. Jenniskens, of SETI, explaining how his Cameras for AllSky Meteor Surveillance (CAMS) captured the gigantic fireball seen all over the bay area last night. The CAMS is on the roof of friends Jim and Diana in Sunnyvale.
Jim is working on calculating the trajectory of this bright meteor so as to better predict where pieces may be found on the ground.
To see pictures of this meteor, visit Peter's site at http://cams.seti.org/
Got the DVR setup to record the 11:00 news;-)
