Yosemite Star Trails

Sam and I went to the Tunnel View viewpoint to try some star trails on a very dark night.

The lit trees are a result of the headlights of the passing cars.

Extreme Post-Processing to bring out the El Capitan and the tiny Half Dome in the far distance.

The big white streak is Jupiter rising.

Nikon D300 ,Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
5 m f/4.0 at 10.0mm iso400
8 exposures for a total of 40 min exposure.
Stacked with Image Stacker s/w. hide exif

Very cool capture, Bryan. I like how you caught the climber's lights on El Capital, including the group at the bottom. And the lights on the trees turned out nicely as well.
