Tonight I noticed this frame tucked away in the bedroom and thought it would be neat to "frame" a photo of this vase. I started with lighting from the rear left and didn't like the shadows on the vase. So I tried lighting from the front. I had trouble with my light bleeding into the photo and creating hotspots. It was very hard to get behind the camera for this too. And the frame tilted back just a little. I will give this another try some day. Now that I know what I'm in for--taping down book ends for support, mounting a 20watt halogen reading light to a music stand while holding the "fill" light over my head....

I've figured out the solution to this one. Setting it up will, however, remain a bear.

Agree with Ray - DEFINITE potential, but also agree with you on this one. You could really nail it with more time to putz around with it. Perhaps Jeanne's new umbrella lights! LOL

I did photograph the set-up. I may post it here tomorrow.

Your set up sounds like a PAD in itself! But really, this picture has potential and I'm glad you're gonna have another go.
