Storm Moving In 8-29-24

Weird weather again today.

According to the national weather service, the other side of town had severe weather. We heard the thunder here and saw the dark skies moving across the horizon. It was dead calm here. Suddenly, high winds came up. The sky here was relatively dark but still remained clear. There was something very eerie about it all. Would we also be getting severe weather again? Or not?

Guess this may how things could be if a new National government administration dismantles NOAA. Forecasting weather may return to how things once were back in my ancestors' day. In the good old days, people would check the sky and then count on a 6th sense to tell if bad weather was headed their way or not.

In the end, we had very high winds. However, we only got sprinkles to go along with these 60 MPH winds, not a severe thunderstorm. I really don't know what one would call that kind of weather.
