"Dusty Rose" 2-26-24

If the original plant label wasn't still in the pot, I would wonder where this cream colored petunia suddenly came from. The plant has been blooming this color all Winter long. I've never had a petuna of this color before.

I planted this petunia myself from seed. For 3 straight years, it bloomed true to its name of a pink/ rosy color: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/173409425 with the very slightest hint of cream accents. So, this is now an interesting biological quirk. Somewhere in Dusty Rose's ancestry, there must have been a cream-colored petunia, and that is now coming out. I wonder if she'll ever go back to being her original pretty pink again
