Photographed outside on our upper deck.
Last Spring, I decided to try my hand at growing daylilies for the first time. I bought 3 different varieties in early Spring of 2023. They grew leaves all last Summer 2023 & then spent the Winter in our Solar Room. Now, over a year later, this one is finally blooming for the very first time. Although the flowers only last a day (as the plant name indicates), she is full of buds and a promises many more flowers to come.
The first of my 3 daylilies started to bloom about 2 weeks ago https://pbase.com/britestar/image/174599117
and the third has yet to bloom.
All 3 daylily varieties are being grown in pots next to our 3 potted tomato plants. With our wildlife problem, nothing is safe unless it's where the critters can't reach.
