5,790,469 Confirmed cases of COVID-19
179,030 American COVID Deaths
Americans now merely assume “some” will get COVID and “some” will also die… That’s just how things now are… That won't stop most from doing things as normal. IMO, people here seemed more concerned 6 months ago: back when there were under 65 COVID cases in the US and only one American death. The numbers now are crushing, but statistics have lost real meaning for most.
Meanwhile, our neighbors are throwing another big party tonight; complete with DJ and scores of rowdy, unmasked guests. Not exactly recommended by the local health department, but obviously, that doesn’t stop them. What I find strange is that these people never had huge parties pre COVID. So I don’t understand “why now”. When the drunken cheers took over - after a chorus of “Mustang Sally” stopped - I finally gave up sitting outside this evening. COVID cases have sky rocketed in our zip code. Wish the neighbors would stop having their frequent, large parties for the current time. Are these parties super spreader events? I have no idea, but they certainly do heighten the risk of community coronavirus spread.

My photography these days remains close to home.
Our time to party will come once COVID is defeated.
