The Polar Bear in the right front is a male. Behind the snow drift, he is cannibalizing the carcass of a Polar Bear Cub that he probably killed. Other photos that I have of this male dining are quite gruesome.
The radio collared bear on the left rear is a female. She continued to walk past the male without pausing. However as soon the male had finished his fill of the unfortunate baby bear, the female returned to also eat bits of the remains.
Life in the arctic North can be quite harsh.
