Not something I expected to see slither down our brick wall while I was sitting out on the deck!
I only got the tail with the 600mm lens because - when I first noticed a snake come out of nowhere - I was too shocked for anything more. However, I quickly grabbed a different camera body & lens and went after him.

I think this snake was interested in the baby birds that I was photographing when he arrived on the scene. I've never seen a Rat Snake before; so this was quite a shock. He was an extremely big one of at least 7 to 8 feet long.
