Although most Tiri trails did not have a boardwalk, this section did. That may have because of wash outs and slippery footing in wet weather. Other parts of the trail were gravel or just natural.
No matter what the surface, each nature trail was over flowing with the wonders of New Zealand nature. This particular trail meandered through native New Zealand bush.
