There's a large wall of striations which are in relief to the base sandstone in a very curious way - that is, the start out very thick at the bottom, and gracefully narrow as they progress around and over the top of the feature. I arrived at this location in mid-morning, and the light was relatively flat and not that interesting, but I loved the nature of these striations, seeming to reach out from the base of the rock toward the sky. I believe that this feature might be much better later in the day, or very soon after sunrise. I'll have to come back and check it out next time!
