2005-05-05: clocks

London, England, UK

Walking along the south bank of the Thames near the London Eye, I caught this juxtaposition of the Tower Clock in the houses of Parliament and a Dali sculpture, "The Persistence of Memory." (I'm not sure whether Dali did the sculpture or whether it is based on his paintings; I know more about Renaissance art than 20th-century art.)

Pedantic note: the Tower Clock is not Big Ben. Big Ben is the large bell in the tower.

Nice framing of the crooked clock overwhelming the linear one.

very interesting composition. Centuries ago time was passing with taxis, now, it's running madly, like in a Dalli's painting. Thank you for sharing,
Lorin
