John James Audubon

Mississippi River

This is the John James Audubon, a hydrofoil boat that runs between the Audubon and the Aquarium. She was going back down river hopefully to resume her duties.

Very nice, Breland. Just her name gives New Orleans hope.

oh such nice lighting on this!

The low sun creates a nice effect as she goes speeding down the river. Looks peaceful in spite of the big wake.

You're making me a little homesick Bre. Very nice group of river boats you've put up.

Love the lighting with the light hitting the tops of the tress and the bow of the boat. Looks like things are looking up there.

Wonderful to see! I'm sure our favorite four year old would love a trip on it! Hope they get it back to service soon!

Nice shot of this boat. I bet the only fish that lived thru the power outage at the Aquarium were garfish and choupique.

It's nice to see that things are starting to return to normal, eh? I'm surprised that a hydrofoil would run on the river, with the possibility of so much debris floating on the big river. I know of a hydrofoil in Vancouver, BC that used to run cross-harbor - it eventually shut down due to constantly hitting logs floating in the harbor.

This brings back such good memories of taking the kids to the zoo and aquarium on this boat.
