The Schöngrundsee is a reservoir created in 1943 in a valley in Franconian Switzerland between the Devil's Cave and the town of Pottenstein in the Bayreuth district, Upper Franconia. The lake has developed into a popular local recreation area since the 1970s and, in addition to a snack bar with open-air seating, also offers pedal and rowing boat rentals!
