In 1987, the area (155 ha) popularly known as "Walberla" was placed under nature protection to protect the heat-loving deciduous forests, bushes, semi-arid and to preserve dry grasslands and cliff communities and to protect the flora and fauna typical of this habitat. In addition, the special scenic beauty of the “Walberla” should be preserved in this way.
